McDonald’s global HQ restaurant may be in the middle of America, but it’s continuously dishing menu items from all over the world. The restaurant, located in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, recently added even more to their international lineup.
Now, according to a McDonald’s press release, midwesterners and visitors to Chicago can order menu items from McDonald’s India, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Hong Kong. McDonald’s recently launched new triple decker breakfast sandwiches, which are admittedly delicious, but nothing super out of the ordinary. The Chicken McMuffin from McDonald’s Asian markets, on the other hand, is the new breakfast option we all need.
The Chicken McMuffin with Egg could perhaps be considered a McDonald’s “brunch” of sorts. It’s a McChicken patty with egg, mayo, and American cheese between two toasted English muffins.
Other additions to the international menu include several lunch and dinner choices: McAloo Tikki (veggie patty topped with red onions, tomato, and eggless creamy tomato mayo) from India, a Cheddar BBQ Bacon Burger from Australia, and a Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich from Canada. That’s made with your choice of grilled or crispy chicken, and topped with red onion rings, leaf lettuce, tomato, mozzarella, and a creamy tomato and herb sauce. Yummmmm.
For dessert (most importantly), guests at McDonald’s headquarters restaurant can try the Chocolatey Wafer McFlurry all the way from Germany. The treat is made with McDonald’s vanilla soft serve, crushed chocolatey wafer candy bars, and your choice of hot fudge or warm caramel mixed in.
